Over thousands of years the people of planet Earth lived as tribal communities that differed one from another. Some developed into powerful civilisations that came and went, and others didn’t. In all cases, but in different ways, there were those who perceived themselves, for whatever reason, as leaders, and like fathers, took on the responsibility of leading “their” people. Some became strong warriors and built powerful kingdoms, and others didn’t. The mind-set of the time was not as it is today – then, the vast majority, like children, were happy to have a “wise”, powerful and protective father to rule over them.
Over the last two or three hundred years as the tribes and territories of the planet became more accessible, the battles for supremacy became bigger, and the influence of the rulers and “their” nations left no corner of the world untouched. As their power and empires became more widespread it became impossible for rulers to control everything, so they were forced to share their power, wealth and influence with a growing number of people, who, mainly by commercial means, were gaining their own power and wealth. Together they built armies, navies, laws, institutions and governments, and then they divided, amongst themselves, Africa and the other continents of the world, and exploited them to the best of their ability.
The vast majority of the people of the world became more and more dissatisfied with their lot, and the global battle for justice and equality began in earnest with many political movements. Some, believing themselves to be leaders, organised the people, and using violence overthrew the ruling class; overwhelmed by their own power, and their desire for more, they became more dictatorial than those whom they had overthrown.
Others believed that the battle could be won politically, and fought in the political arena, but there is no battle, there is no war, and slowly but surely they came to understand that they had little or no power, for it was in the hands of the rich and powerful corporate world of business, who own and control the banks, the arms industry, the oil, the energy, and almost everything else of value. And all these resources exist so that they can make a profit, and become richer, they do not exist for the Common Good. This has left the politicians weak with little or no control, as it lies in the corrupt structures and institutions and of the rich and powerful. This is the root cause of all our political and economic problems.
What is the Solution
Since the problem is caused by the reality that the day to day lives of the vast majority of the ordinary people of the world are controlled by the corrupt structures and institutions, of the rich and powerful, the solution is for us, the ordinary people, to create our own structures and institutions in the form of an International Assembly as described in “It (the International Assembly) will be Totally Democratic”. We have an inalienable sovereign right to control our own destiny, and this is what we will do, and the sooner we do it the better.
Let us, the children, teenagers, women and men of Planet Earth, unite together and take ownership of our own Planet, and ownership of its management, and ownership of the suffering on it, and ownership of this plan to end that suffering. Let their suffering be our suffering. Let this Assembly be our Assembly. Let each of us, for the sake of humanity, and for the sake of all those who are too poor to stay alive, set about this transformation, let there be universal participation in this honour of creating World Peace, so that the overwhelming majority of mankind will embrace it, thus ensuring a smooth transition from the old aggressive world reality to a new peaceful and just one. Let us, let all of us; choose this infinitely better alternative - of fairness-for-all.
