Over the past two hundred years the explosion of knowledge was primarily in the domain of our outer scientific knowledge, this is now changing and we are beginning to see a new explosion, this time it is, and will continue to be, predominantly in the area of our underlying reality – our non-material reality which has the capacity to transform our dysfunctional society into an ordered one. It has the ability to change our attitudes so that the power of greed – the desire in me to have more, is transmuted into a desire for all to have sufficient, the emphasis will change from the love of power to the power of love.
This transformation will be accelerated by the failure of the political and economic institutions that we now have, to satisfy our needs. As society, presently built on military and economic superiority, fails us, and as the injustice, secrecy and corruption leads nowhere, mankind will continue to search for the reality underlying the reasons for our deplorable state, and for the reality, not just underlying our deplorable state, but underlying everything. And as we search, we will find it, in the form of knowledge, and as we do, we will become attracted to it, and to it’s extraordinary potential to develop ourselves and the planet, it will give us self-confidence and the determination to change this world of disease, poverty, misery and unemployment into one that provides dignity for all. And as our exhausted society continues to disintegrate our new one will be born.
The more we discover this underlying reality, the more we will be attracted to it, and consequently, the more we will want to know about it. It is this desire to understand the new knowledge, that will cause the next explosion that will lead to humanity accepting that we are one; we will discover and love the reality of our connectedness to everything, to our environment, and to the entire universe, and we will grow in our respect for the underlying reality that shapes everything. We will be in awe of it, and of its transformative effect in our own lives and in the life of our global society.
This knowledge is not new, it is as old as humanity itself, but somehow, somewhere along the way we lost sight of it, but finally humanity as a whole, is about to rediscover it and in so doing we will discover how to live in peace and in harmony inwardly as individuals, and outwardly as one integrated, harmonious and prosperous global society.
