Everybody wants to be happy, we exist for happiness, but surrounded, as we are, by corrupt and outdated political and economic institutions that are causing little but war, poverty and misery, it is difficult to be happy. These institutions are stuck in their own history, in their own greed, while we, the majority of the people of the world, are evolving.
Phenomenal advancements have taken place over the past hundred years or so. The most extraordinary and important of these has undoubtedly been the evolution in mankind’s consciousness. Although less tangible then technological advancements, it is very real. Consider how justice, democracy and equality, have evolved over the last century, today, the majority of people accept others regardless of colour, nationality or creed, people want to live and let live. Compared to the early 20th century and previous centuries these attitudes are quite astounding.
Because of this evolution in consciousness we are becoming more accepting, tolerant and caring. And although we are fundamentally good, we don’t really know what makes us so, but the more we focus on our evolving state, on our “goodness” and our higher nature, the more it will increase and bring peace and love, into our lives. This encourages us to discover even more about ourselves and our underlying reality, and that process reduces stress and creates additional positive attributes which in turn leads to a greater knowledge or understanding, a greater sense of connectedness to others, to our environment and to the entire universe. This is a manifestation of the evolution in our consciousness, it is a spiritual awakening, and one that has advanced greatly and is continuing to evolve. In spite of what many believe, mankind is evolving spiritually.
As we grow in our awareness, we develop an abhorrence of war, injustice, corruption and of everything that has an underlying ugliness. The more we grow and create the more we, by our example, encourage others to mature. The process is accelerating and is transforming us individually and collectively into a global community that is increasingly seeking for peace and prosperity.
Deep down at the very core of our being, we know that everything can be infinitely better. Fundamentally, we know that there has to change. Mankind’s soul is crying out for a new beginning, for a fundamental change. This is that new beginning, this is that fundamental change, this is what visionaries and poets have been waiting for, and longing for. The time has now come for a new epoch in human history, when we, the people of the world, aware of our own maturity, are deciding to embrace this change, this new beginning, and, in our awareness, we will transform this war-weary world into a wonderful, joyful, and peaceful world, based on our new-found dignity.
